ms consultants has been providing comprehensive architectural design, site design, and permitting assistance for White Castle since 2005 throughout the Eastern United States.

The ms multidiscipline team provides White Caste with seamless design and construction coordination for each restaurant. After the restaurant location is identified, the project manager gathers the team of surveyors, site development engineers, architectural teams, mechanical and electrical engineers, and landscape architect to refine the prototype into a constructible design suitable for the chosen site.

The ms architectural team also assembles the construction documents. As a result, having only one point of contact for White Castle enhances the level of service.

These services begin in the planning and zoning stages for each White Castle location and continue throughout construction. In the planning stage, ms provides site layout solutions that address zoning issues. The site layout plans are scrutinized against planning, zoning, utility and construction concerns.

ms continues with the architectural and mechanical review of the prototype White Castle building to submit to the local permit office. The review process includes multiple steps and components:

• The architectural team contacts the local authorities to review local code requirements and the latest building codes.
• The mechanical engineer contacts all local water and plumbing authorities to review requirements for water and sewer.
• The structural drawings are reviewed for snow load, seismic, and local codes.
• The prototype White Castle building plans are adjusted for all changes and permitted to the authorities.
• The architectural team, mechanical engineers, and civil engineers review and address all comments received from building and zoning, and resubmit as required.

Once approved, the ms team then provides construction services, assisting the contractors and the White Castle construction managers during construction. ms also reviews shop drawings and provides record revision plans at the completion of construction.

Through the years, the ms consultants team and White Castle have continually updated the restaurant design to improve efficiency and construction cost. The White Castle team also implements the latest quick service restaurant trends and updates building and mechanical codes as they change with the times.
